Greetings! Happy Chinese New Year! In honor of said holiday, I decided to do an outfit that was fit for the occasion. Red is a common color that is associated with Chinese New Year as it wards off evil spirits and bad fortune. This also marks the year of the Dragon. The dragon will bring prosperity and optimism for the new year. As about.com puts it, this year is the most auspicious year to date as it marks the year of the Water Dragon which occurs once every 60 years. There’s a small cultural lesson for yah!

I have been telling every woman, mother and child how I have been obsessed with gel-nail polish. I’m going on my second week with them and they look the same as the day I had them on. This is great for me as usually by the third day I look like I just gnawed the paint off my nails. What..I gotta eat something…
Hope you have a great start to your week! As always, thanks for reading!
