I keep my makeup as natural as possible. I also try to keep most of my products natural but there are some instances where some of my holy grails are from the drugstores. The most recent collection at H&M has got me giddy like a little girl. I walked away from the store with this combo as well as scoring a leather skirt. I was pleasantly surprised that H&M started carrying leather goods and the fact that the leather was super buttery! There were also some spring items that caught my eye and perhaps with due time will be in my wardrobe pretty soon.

Greetings! Happy Chinese New Year! In honor of said holiday, I decided to do an outfit that was fit for the occasion. Red is a common color that is associated with Chinese New Year as it wards off evil spirits and bad fortune. This also marks the year of the Dragon. The dragon will bring prosperity and optimism for the new year. As about.com puts it, this year is the most auspicious year to date as it marks the year of the Water Dragon which occurs once every 60 years. There’s a small cultural lesson for yah!

I have been telling every woman, mother and child how I have been obsessed with gel-nail polish. I’m going on my second week with them and they look the same as the day I had them on. This was an outfit that I wore on Thursday. I had been eyeing these high-waisted pants by Alice+Olivia a while back and I had recently scored these babies up for $35. The chances of that ever happening is rare if not ever. I believe the Clothes God favor me but my bank statements do not. Oh woe is me.

I hope everyone is still keeping up with their New Year’s Resolution! I am trying my earnest to keep up with mine. If anything, I got the eating healthy part down.
In other news, every Sunday I look forward to reading two sites. One being this and this. I especially look forward to the latter, as this subject has been pertinent to my life. Funny how things always work out.
